WD-40

Submitted by coach on Thu, 05/03/2007 - 11:49pm.

Last week I received many comments regarding my segment on Pass The Salt in which I described the many uses of WD 40.

WD-40

Water Displacement #40. The product began from a search for a rust preventative solvent and de greaser to protect missile parts. WD-40 was created in 1953 by three technicians at the San Diego Rocket Chemical Company. Its name comes from the project that was to find a "water displacement" compound. They were successful with the fortieth formulation, thus WD-40. Ken East (one of the original founders) says there is nothing in WD-40 that would hurt you.

When you read the "shower door" part, try it. It's the first thing that has ever cleaned that spotty shower door. If yours is plastic, it works just as well as glass. It's a miracle! Then try it on your stovetop... Here are the uses.....almost 2000!

REAL HOMELAND SECURITY

I don't know if you have flown commercially lately, but I marvel every time I do. The hoops we have to jump through in order to get on a plane are unbelievable. What used to be a fun experience has turned into an ordeal similar to a trip to Disney World, as one stands in line for a trip upon the latest ride.

I'm all for safety. Heck, who isn't? But the charade at our airports, designed to make us feel safe aboard the aircraft, is a joke. Take off your shoes, no toothpaste, no water bottles, the list of "protective measures" taken by the airport screener borders on lunacy. Why do we put up with it? Do you really feel safer? Do you really think that disrobing and wanding 80 year old grandmas makes a flight safer?

What if the Pilgrims Had Been Muslims?

"So, why is murder wrong?" I posited that question to a group of high school seniors in an affluent Columbus suburban school. I had been invited to speak to a class called "Poly Rad," which is a course designed to give seniors a variety of different views across the political spectrum. It stimulates a great deal of debate and really exposes the crux of modern American education. With all of the talk today about the lousy job our government schools are doing, you would think that someone would point out that, in fact, the schools are doing a marvelous job. Although most citizens, parents in particular, are dazzled by the spin put out by their local school system regarding the great job the schools are doing, the Truth remains that from an educational point of view our government school system is a dismal failure.

Coach To Speak at Firestorm Conference

The Ohio Assemblies of God has invited Coach Dave to be one of the presenters at their very-popular state-wide event known as "Firestorm".

Judge Roy Moore Coming to Ohio

Submitted by coach on Thu, 02/01/2007 - 1:00pm.
Pass The Salt is bringing Judge Roy Moore to Ohio April 27 and 28. Please mark your calendar for this event. Details are still being worked out so stay close to our website for the announcement. But once again, a sticky subject has arisen. Sadly, we have heard from those who say that we are wrong to support Judge Moore because his willful disobedience of the law was in direct conflict with the teaching of the New Testament.

Ending abortion

Submitted by coach on Fri, 01/26/2007 - 12:56pm.

We have been deceived you know. The Republican Party is not really pro-life. Oh they say they are, but unfortunately the walk does not match the talk. For over more than a decade Republicans have held power in Washington DC and we are no closer to ending abortion than we were when Bill Clinton was elected president in 1992. Have you considered this?

How often have conservatives pointed out that black Americans follow lock, stock, and barrel behind the Democratic Party. Statistics show that over 90% of blacks voted Democratic in the last election....a statistic that has changed very little over the past 40 years. I often hear people make fun of how ignorant blacks must be to continually vote for Democrats. "Democrats only make blacks' problems worse" I've heard many times. Well isn't that funny....

Praying In Jesus' name

Submitted by coach on Tue, 01/16/2007 - 10:44am.

So now we can't pray in Jesus' name in our military. At least if you are working for a general who is offended by Christ's words. Isn't it amazing that in a nation where our leaders are constantly asking for Divine protection for our troops, a chaplain who is committed to the King of Kings is not permitted to speak the Name that will provide the ultimate covering for our men and women? Is America denying God? Will God hear the prayers of a people whose leaders will not recognize the God they appeal to for protection? What about our Christian president?

What is Love?

My latest commentary is making the rounds on the internet and as I figured would happen I have been flooded with emails from many different perspectives. The homosexuals and the homosexual sympathizers always question my motives, the veracity of the facts, and my Christianity. "The facts are dishonest" or "Whoever did this research had an agenda", or my favorite, "Gays wouldn't be so promiscuous if they were allowed to marry."

How to Manipulate Voters to a Predetermined Candidate

I love the play-action pass. It is one of most effective ways to score during a football game. The premise is simple, fake like you are going to run the ball up the middle, suck all of the defensive players in, and then throw the ball over the heads of the unsuspecting opponent. It is sort of like a magic trick. It really isn't magic, it is more appropriately called sleight-of-hand, but it has the same premise as the play-action pass. The magician entices you to focus on one hand, while he is pulling the strings with the other.

Dick Cheney Should Resign!

Submitted by coach on Fri, 12/08/2006 - 11:25am.

Is it just me or has anyone else had it up to their ears with this "Christian Administration?" The latest in-your face to faithful Christians is the news that Vice-President Dick Cheney and his wife are expecting another grandchild. Although we rejoice over all life, it is the circumstances surrounding the pregnancy that has caused the back of my neck to turn red. You see, VP Cheney's pregnant-daughter is a lesbian, which means she chooses to have sex with women. If my public school education is kicking in properly it seems to me that two women having sex cannot produce a child. Only the introduction of sperm, something carried exclusively by men, uniting with an egg, something carried exclusively by women, can bring about a pregnancy. Pardon the pun, but there seems to be a fly in the turkey baster.
